Job Title: IT Technician

Number of positions to fill: 1

Location: Sainte-Adèle/Saint-Jérôme

Summary of position:

Job description: Under the supervision of the IT Coordinator and IT Director, the IT Technician acts as a first-line support service to the users, answers to IT needs and solves problems related to the IT infrastructure of the company.
He also ensures that production teams are working with the right equipment and the right version of the game to test.

Main responsibilities:

Test Preparation (30%):

  • Download, prepare and deliver the latest versions of our customers’ games to production
  • Setup consoles and workstations, based on production requests

Customer support (30%):

  • Solve hardware, software and network problems
  • Install programs
  • Setup PCs, install operating systems

Inventory management (10%):

  • Return equipment to suppliers for repair
  • Monitor the stocks evolution with the department supervisors
  • Make researches on the equipment to buy (search on the Internet for specifics and prices, ask for quotes, etc.

Documentation (10%):

  • Keep the documentation on the service updated on the WIKI

Communications (10%):

  • Ensure regular monitoring of the current workflow with the service supervisors
  • Keep other operations support technicians informed about any changes

Remote Support (10%):

  • Provide support outside working hours by phone, one out of four weeks

Requirements:

  • Computer Support DVS
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft operating systems for users
  • Knowledge of softwares, devices and device drivers
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Have a valid Canadian driver’s license for occasional transport to Montreal
  • Be a Canadian citizen/ Permanent resident or be in the process of obtaining residency

Optional Skill:

  • Knowledge of virtualization softwares, such as Proxmox, VmWare, etc.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems command line
  • Knowledge of switches configuration in command line
  • Advanced knowledge of the OSI model

Working conditions:

  • Variable schedule based on ongoing projects (6am to 8pm or more)
  • Insurance after three months of full-time service
  • 35h per week guaranteed

Job Title: QA LEAD

Location: Sainte-Adèle & Montreal, QC, Canada

Summary of position:

The industry of Video games interests you and you want to use your project management skills? Enzyme testing labs offer you the opportunity to join their team of QA Lead. This is your chance to show off your experience, ideas and your energy.

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the managing and the execution of projects. You will be in charge of the planning, organization and follow-up of projects. During the project you will be the primary contact with the customer.

As QA Lead, communication is one of your main responsibilities, whether it's giving information on a project, holding coaching meetings or team meetings. You will also be directly implicated in the Human resource administration of your team through: appreciation meetings, managing the absentees, refreshing work skills, communicating organizational changes and health and security management.

Job Title: FUNCTIONALITY TESTER (Experienced)

Number of positions to fill: 10+

Location: Downtown Montreal, QC, Canada

Summary of position: For our client, a world-renowned leader in the video game industry recently established in Montreal, we are looking to fill several Functionality tester positions.

The functionality tester will be in charge of testing the client’s products (video games) on all kinds of platforms (consoles, online games, social networks) by executing test cases. The bugs found will have to be reported in a database and entered in the test suite.

Main responsibilities:

  • Test the products by following the test suite;
  • Execute test cases;
  • Report bugs in the database;
  • Follow up on them


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a video game tester, a must
  • Written and spoken English skills
  • Experience with console and/or PC game testing
  • Communicates efficiently, works well in a team, demonstrates strong analytic skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of bug tracking software such as Jira, Test Track Pro and/or Devtrack, a plus

Qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Testing

  • Test games indicated by the project manager under various aspects according to the testing plan; record any bugs in a database using standard description and file a brief report. Tests must be conducted by navigating/using the game.

  • All other video game related tasks assigned by supervisors.

  • The tester may be asked to conduct specialized testing.

Linguistic specialization

  • Detect linguistic errors in language: grammar, spelling, punctuation etc

  • Find translation errors (vocabulary, etc.)

  • Ensure that subtitles correspond with audio.

  • Occasional translation

  • Correct cultural errors

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of the test language
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the cultural environment of the destination market.
  • Knowledge of translation
