LINGUISTIC PROOFREADER, SAINT-JÉRÔME

At Enzyme, playing during work hours is not a crime; it is a lifestyle.

We are currently looking for linguists to help us detect mistakes in video game translation. With this job, you can make a difference on upcoming games and share your experiences and skills.

Main Responsibilities:

     - Navigating video games to detect linguistic mistakes: grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.;

     - Find Translation errors;

     - Ensure subtitles correspond with the audio;

     - File reports in English on each issue detected in a database;

     - Testers will work closely with an existing team of localization testers;

     - If needed, help with functionality testing.

Required Profile:

     - Great attention to details and analytical mind;

     - Proficiency in English (written and spoken – training and data entries are provided in English only);

     - Profound knowledge of at least one of the following languages: English (US, UK), French, Italian, German, Spanish (SP, LAM), Japanese, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Czech, Portuguese (POR, BZL), Chinese, Korean, Romanian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Greek, Turkish, Arabic;

     - Strong interest in video games and Media platforms is an asset.

 We offer:

     - Starting at $13 per hour

VIDEO GAME TESTER (SPECIALIZED IN FUNCTIONALITY), SAINT-JÉRÔME

We are currently looking for functionality testers who will be in charge of testing the video games on all kinds of platforms (consoles, online games, social networks) by executing test cases. The bugs found will have to be reported in a database and entered in the test suite. With this job, you can make a difference on upcoming games and share your experiences and skills.

 Main Responsibilities:

     - Navigating video games under different aspects to detect any bugs;

     - File reports in English on each issue detected in a database;

     - The tester may be asked to conduct specialized testing.

 Required Profile:

     - Strong interest in video games and Media platforms;

     - Great attention to details and analytical mind;

     - Capable of following a testing plan;

     - Proficiency in English (written and spoken – training and data entries are provided in English only);

     - Knowledge of basic computing (Internet, Email).

 We offer:

     - Paid training

     - Starting salary: $10.35 per hour

VIDEO GAME TESTER (SPECIALIZED IN FUNCTIONALITY) (Experienced)

Number of positions to fill: 10+

Location: Downtown Montreal, QC, Canada

Summary of position: For our client, a world-renowned leader in the video game industry recently established in Montreal, we are looking to fill several Functionality tester positions.

The functionality tester will be in charge of testing the client’s products (video games) on all kinds of platforms (consoles, online games, social networks) by executing test cases. The bugs found will have to be reported in a database and entered in the test suite.

Main responsibilities:

  • Test the products by following the test suite;
  • Execute test cases;
  • Report bugs in the database;
  • Follow up on them


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a video game tester, a must
  • Written and spoken English skills
  • Experience with console and/or PC game testing
  • Communicates efficiently, works well in a team, demonstrates strong analytic skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of bug tracking software such as Jira, Test Track Pro and/or Devtrack, a plus
